SWIRL was formed because life has a way of putting us in a spin… a cycle… or in a constant swirl of chaos.

I know that chaos well—because I lived in it. For years, I found myself trapped in destructive relationships, emotionally worn down, and financially overwhelmed. I was juggling too much, pretending I was okay, and carrying burdens I couldn’t talk about. Every day felt like survival. And yet, I kept spinning.

It wasn’t one big moment that changed everything—it was a series of small, faithful steps. I began connecting with other women who shared the same silent struggles: single moms, survivors of abuse, women facing financial crisis or deep emotional pain. We started gathering, praying, crying, laughing, and leaning on each other.

In that swirl of shared experience, something beautiful began to form: a space for real support. Not just spiritual encouragement, but practical, hands-on help. A place where women could come as they are and find grace, growth, and guidance.

That’s when SWIRL Ministries was born.

What began around kitchen tables and whispered prayers turned into a movement of hope. Today, SWIRL exists to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of women and families in our community—with support groups, resource connections, and faith-based counseling that speaks to the whole person.

Because even when life feels out of control, I believe God is with us in the swirl. He brings healing in the midst of the storm, and He uses our broken stories to build something beautiful—for ourselves, and for others.
